The Silver Pledge™ Limited Warranty is an enhanced GAF warranty that provides longer-term protection than standard, non-enhanced warranties. When properly installed and registered by a GAF Certified Plus™ Contractor, it includes up to 50 years of Smart Choice® Protection on qualifying GAF materials.

Backed by Certified Plus™ Installation Standards

Silver Pledge™ coverage is only available when installation meets GAF Certified Plus™ standards. This certification reflects higher training requirements, proven installation quality, and strict system installation guidelines set by GAF.

The GAF Silver Pledge™ Limited Warranty is an enhanced roofing warranty available only through qualifying GAF Certified Plus™ Contractors. It provides extended coverage beyond standard shingle warranties by including workmanship protection when the roof is installed as a qualifying GAF roofing system.

The GAF Silver Pledge™ Limited Warranty carries a registration fee charged by GAF. When SEC Roofing & Construction Group installs a qualifying roofing system, we pay the Silver Pledge™ registration cost and complete the required warranty registration as the Certified Plus™ Contractor. This allows eligible projects to receive Silver Pledge™ coverage without the homeowner being responsible for the warranty fee or registration process.

The Silver Pledge™ Limited Warranty must be registered by the GAF Certified Plus™ Contractor who installed the roof. Homeowners cannot self-register this warranty, and registration must meet GAF’s timelines and system requirements to remain valid. As part of the process, SEC Roofing completes the warranty registration and provides the homeowner with a copy for their records.

Yes. The GAF Silver Pledge™ Limited Warranty is transferable to a new homeowner if the property is sold, subject to GAF’s transfer requirements and timelines. Transferable warranty coverage can be an added benefit during a home sale by providing the next owner with documented roof protection, which may help make the property more attractive to buyers and support overall home value.

Only GAF Certified Plus™ Contractors are authorized to offer and register the Silver Pledge™ Limited Warranty. Contractors with lower certification levels are not eligible to provide this warranty, even if they install GAF shingles.

Yes. Unlike basic manufacturer warranties that typically cover materials only, the Silver Pledge™ Limited Warranty includes limited workmanship coverage when the roof is installed according to GAF requirements and properly registered by a Certified Plus™ Contractor. Yes. GAF requires the Silver Pledge™ Warranty to be installed as a qualifying roofing system using approved GAF components. Installing only shingles without the required supporting products will disqualify the roof from enhanced warranty coverage.
